Chairman Rick Scott joined EWTN Pro-Life Weekly last week to discuss the Democrats’ radical agenda to eliminate the Hyde and Helms Amendments. For over 40 years, the Hyde Amendment has been in place to protect American taxpayers from being forced to pay for abortions. And for nearly 50 years, Congress has also upheld the Helms Amendment, which protects taxpayer funds from being sent overseas to pay for elective abortions. An NRSC poll taken this year shows that an overwhelming majority of Americans oppose funding overseas abortions. Democrats are simply out of touch.
One thing is certain, these new taxes do not only impact the rich. In fact, liberals would like to give the wealthy in high-tax states like New York and California a tax cut as part of the plan!
