Arguably no columnist in Washington gets more retweets and amplification from the Biden White House than Jennifer Rubin – the Administration’s go-to talking point parrot.

In her column this weekend, she did her best to defend President Biden against any and all criticisms that his policies not only exacerbated inflation but weakened American energy production…it’s a dirty job, but someone’s got to do it.

Americans aren’t buying a word of it.  According to a new ABC News/Ipsos poll, 58% of Americans disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy and a whopping 70% disapprove of Biden’s handling of gas prices.

In classic Rubin fashion, she couldn’t help herself when she saw these numbers.  She took to Twitter to react to the new polling and called Americans who are angry about paying record-high gas prices, “stupid.”

This comes on the heels of Nancy Pelosi stating that the massive increase in federal spending is “reducing the debt” and “is not inflationary.” And Joe Biden himself said “I’m sick of this stuff,” referring to the belief rightly held by the American people that massive new government spending is causing inflation.

Put simply, Democrats are calling the American people stupid.

Senate Democrats have supported the failed Biden agenda every step of the way.  Vulnerable Senators like Maggie Hassan, Raphael Warnock, Mark Kelly, Catherine Cortez Masto, and Michael Bennet will have to explain why their midterm strategy is to call the American people stupid.

Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Democrats have settled on their midterm message: Americans are stupid!  Democrats can’t understand why American voters have a rudimentary understanding of basic economics, which they clearly don’t seem to possess.  Well, the vulnerable Senators who put these wheels in motion will feel pretty stupid when they are out of a job in January.”
