Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02), a member of the Congressional Future Farmers of America (FFA) Caucus, cosponsored a House Resolution designating this week as National FFA Week. In addition to designating National FFA Week, the resolution also recognizes the important role of the National FFA Organization in developing the next generation of leaders who will change the world and celebrates 70 years of the National FFA Organization’s membership magazine, now called New Horizons.
“As an FFA alum, I know how important FFA is for young folks in the Wiregrass, and I’m excited to join my colleagues in recognizing this week as National FFA week,” said Rep. Barry Moore. “FFA is building a new generation of young leaders who will be champions for Alabama agriculture. This week is a time to formally acknowledge hardworking members of the FFA and encourage them to continue their work for our communities and nation. FFA is leading the future of Alabama Agriculture!”
