At an event in Houston, Texas on Thursday, Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) made the following remarks about the Biden administration’s unconstitutional extension of the federal eviction moratorium without Congressional action:
Think about every headline you read today. Look at every news story you hear about today. President Biden and his administration don’t give a whit about your personal liberty. Not one whit. Right now, when they’re talking about just unilaterally deciding to extend this eviction moratorium, flat out unconstitutionally, and the president acknowledges that it will likely be found to be unconstitutional, yet they’re going to continue anyway because for them, it’s about outcome.
