Republican Leader of the Education and Labor Committee Virginia Foxx (R-NC) gave the following statement after the New York State Attorney General released a report backing the sexual assault claims made against Governor Andrew Cuomo:
“The New York investigation into Cuomo confirms the necessity of proper investigations into sexual assault allegations. I wholeheartedly condemn his actions and remind the Biden administration that students accused of sexual assault should benefit from the same presumption of innocence and independent investigation that Cuomo was granted.”
