The infrastructure bill’s chemical tax would cost Louisiana companies more than one billion dollars, which puts good jobs in danger. The chemical industry supports more than 100,000 jobs in our state, and this tax takes direct aim at those jobs. I urge the Senate to adopt this amendment blocking that tax.

The amendment prohibits funds for any state “in which the governor of such State has been found, by the relevant State or Federal authorities, to have sexually harassed employees while holding the position of governor.”
This is just the first step in the Democrats’ plan to pass their $5.5 trillion tax and spend liberal wish list.
