Americans for Prosperity CEO Emily Seidel issued the following statement in response to President Biden’s executive order requiring private businesses with over 100 employees to mandate COVID-19 vaccines or weekly testing:
“Vaccines are a crucial component of ending this pandemic. But government-imposed mandates will only further divide the country and the trust in vaccines required for our country to beat COVID. Overly-broad mandates – whether that is the federal government saying private businesses must mandate vaccines or state governments telling private businesses they cannot – is the wrong approach. Such executive overreach forces businesses and citizens into a policing role and erodes trust when we need it most.”
